Brett Inlow, DC

Brett Inlow, DC brings extensive experience and a life-long passion for health, sports, and fitness to treating patients of all ages at Valley Chiropractic and Sports Medicine practice in the Simsbury, Canton and Avon areas of Connecticut.

Utilizing a wide-range of leading-edge diagnosis and treatment approaches, including physical therapy and acupuncture, Dr. Inlow offers a full range of chiropractic care, for the prevention and treatment of sports injuries, relief and management of back, joint and muscle pain, as well as, headaches and migraines.

Dr. Inlow earned his doctor of chiropractic degree from The University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic, followed by post-graduate studies in acupuncture and chiropractic sports medicine, including a fellowship in acupuncture (F.I.A.M.A.) from the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture. He also holds certification as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and is a certified First Aid and CPR/AED instructor for The American Heart Association.

Dr. Inlow began his chiropractic career after spending 11 years working in sports medicine as a certified and licensed athletic trainer (ATC) for The Master’s School in West Simsbury and Avon High School, in Avon, CT, rated one of the top high schools in the nation by Newsweek.

Currently, Dr. Inlow is working towards completion of additional certification as a chiropractic sports physician (CCSP) through the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians. He is a member of the American Chiropractic Association, the Connecticut Chiropractic Association, and the National Athletic Trainers Association.

When not treating patients, Dr. Inlow enjoys spending time with his wife Heidi and their children Grant (age 10), Liam (age 5) and Genevieve (age 1). He also enjoys camping, riding motorcycles, and woodworking.

Matthew Chella, D.C.

Dr. Matt Chella is thrilled to join Valley Chiropractic & Sports Medicine. He has a passion for educating his patients about their health concerns, their treatment options, and the rehabilitative steps necessary to improve their condition. He takes pride in ensuring his patients play an active role in their health care.

Focusing on identifying the source of dysfunction, Dr. Chella develops a plan to reduce pain, improve function, prevent future exacerbations, and restore optimal health. Dr. Chella offers a wide variety of treatment options: adjustments/spinal manipulation, joint mobilizations, various soft tissue therapies, physiotherapy modalities, therapeutic rehabilitative exercises, nutritional supplementation, and lifestyle modifications.

Dr. Chella graduated from the University of Bridgeport, College of Chiropractic as a chiropractic physician, and Quinnipiac University, majoring in Athletic Training/Sports Medicine.

While outside the office Dr. Chella enjoys spending time with his wife and their 2-year-old twins. He also works with the Bolton Volunteer Fire Department as an EMT.

Nicole Ellrod, MSPT

Nicole brings over 16 years of experience in orthopedic out-patient physical therapy to VCSM. She graduated from Gordon College with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and from The University of Hartford with a Masters in Physical Therapy. She also has been certified as a personal trainer through the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America since 2004.

Nicole believes in an active lifestyle through exercise and fitness. That belief propelled her to her interest and passion to help others and her desire to make a difference in the lives of people who are in pain. Nicole is married and a mother of four children and currently resides in Granby, CT.

Chris White, DC

Dr. White joined Valley Chiropractic & Sports Medicine in October 2022 after moving to Simsbury when his wife changed employment. Previously, he was in solo practice in Rowley, MA for nearly 30 years.

Dr. White graduated from New York Chiropractic College after he received his B.S. in biopsychology from Bates College. While in college he worked as a student athletic trainer, played varsity soccer, and captained the varsity lacrosse team his senior year.

He is very happy to be in a group practice which offers myriad treatment approaches and has such a well deserved reputation in the Farmington Valley area. Dr. White enjoys working with patients from teenagers to seniors and has a particular interest in athletes. He enjoys getting to know his patients on a personal basis.

Dr. White employs various techniques to help as many patients as possible. He uses traditional hands-on manual manipulation, Activator (instrument-assisted adjustments), stretching, and Active Release Techniques.

He looks forward to soon being able to provide DOT physical exams for commercial drivers.

He is happily married to his wife, Elaine, and together they have 3 adult daughters. Chris and Elaine live in Simsbury with their 4 year-old Golden Retriever x Labrador Retriever, Nash. He continues to coach, officiate, and play lacrosse. He also enjoys working out at a local CrossFit gym.
